Any pointers to modem setup FAQ's?

Howzit,

After getting my GeForce to work with BeOS, I'm back to playing with
it again, but one thing I never needed to do with the box before is
dailup.

Are there any good modem setup FAQ's out there? I've got an external
Duxbury v90 and it's not in the list of modems that appear in the
setup dialogs, so I've got no idea what the modem string should be,
any pointers and hints would be great.

TIA

I got mine by playing around with generic strings until it worked - ended
up with AT&FL1S7=255W2+MS=V92. That might help as a starter, it's a Zoom
external V92 modem but you can just change the obvious bit.

One other reference that good for hardware is Frizbe.net but I'm not sure
if that is still live.

Cheers,
